Well, it might cost $6,000 and have a feature set that blows the Canon EOS 1DX Mark III away in most respects but apparently, the Canon EOS R3 isn’t classed as a flagship model. In an interview with Canon’s David Parry at The Photography Show in England last week, it was revealed that Canon doesn’t consider the EOS R3 to be a flagship camera mainly because it doesn’t have the durability of the 1DX series....
If there’s one camera mount that has had enough hype over the last year or so that they should be pumping out cameras weekly to take advantage of it, it’s Canon’s EOS M system. We’re keeping EOS M! Well, we all expected the Canon EOS R3 to be announced at some point this month and it looks like that might be true after Nokishita tweeted that the EOS R3 along with a number of accessories has been added to Canon’s latest product list. Sony’s 61-megapixel A7R IV caused quite the splash when it was announced, becoming the highest resolution full-frame camera out there. After Sony, Canon has also been affected by the outbreak of COVID-19 (Coronavirus). According to the latest report, the company has announced that it will temporarily shut down five of its factories due to supply shortages. Nikkei reports that Canon will suspend a total of five factories in three prefectures: Oita, Miyazaki, and Nagasaki. They will stop working for less than two weeks according to the current plan, and it will be between 2 and 13 March....
It seems that crowdsourcing is not beyond intelligence agencies. At least, according to a leaked memo from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). DJI has announced finally announced the new DJI FPV Drone. It features an on-board 4K 60fps gimbal stabilised camera with a 150° super-wide field of view with a low-latency signal that can be sent to your goggles. It has a top speed of up to 87 miles per hour and can combine gimbal stabilisation with electronic image stabilisation to ensure steady footage at any speed. DJI says that they’ve “reinvented” the drony flying experience with the new DJI FPV....
I have to admit, I’m surprised it’s taken this long for DJI to get into ground rover territory. But according to new patents released by DJI, two new products may be coming in 2020, one of which looks like a radio-controlled vehicle of some kind featuring a built-in gimbal and camera. The other appears to be a gimbal along similar lines to the Freefly Movi Pro and DJI’s own Ronin 2, but utilising one of DJI’s own Zenmuse cameras instead of your DSLR or mirrorless camera....
DJI has expanded its Mobile SDK for Android to support the DJI Air 2S, Mini 2 and Mini SE drones. Yes, that’s right, for now, it’s Android, although an iOS update is expected soon. Android first is a very odd move these days, especially from a company like DJI, but here we are. Interestingly, the recently announced DJI Mavic 3 hasn’t made it onto the compatibility list (yet). The Mobile SDK allows app developers for mobile apps like Litchi, DroneLink and DroneDeploy unlock new features and tools allowing users to control their drones in ways the DJI app doesn’t allow....
I’ve loved my Canon ever since the day I unboxed it. This lens has everything I wanted, long reach, fast autofocus, reasonably lightweight, and since I bought it after the Mark II version came out the price was much more affordable. I’ve taken thousands of images with this lens and it served me well over the years. Any images shot with this lens I wasn’t happy with certainly were not the fault of the lens....

The FAA released its ruling on Monday, December 28th, on Remote Identification (Remote ID) for drones and also a final rule on flights at night and over people.
