This move marks the official end of the company’s film camera business, and the Canon EOS-1V no longer exist in the company’s inventory. Canon entered the camera industry in 1937. A recent report shows that Instagram may soon add another new feature to the app: voice calls and video calls. As TechCrunch writes, a leaked code shows that icons and files for these two features are lying within the app, waiting to be released. This is probably not much of a surprise to some, but it will be very disappointing to others. Especially those who might have recently bought or pre-ordered a camera with an XQD card slot. It seems that Lexar is now not going to be making XQD cards since it moved from Micron to Longsys, after all. The news comes as Polish distributor, My Adventure, issued a statement. According to WCNC, an Instagram post referring a school shooting was uploaded to Instagram and every student who liked the post got suspended....

Skylum has just announced its latest update to its Luminar photo editing software. The Luminar 3.1.0 brings new and improved Accent AI filter, which now features content-aware recognition. There are a few other improvements, so let’s see what the upgraded version of Luminar brings. Luminar 3’s Accent AI automatically handles tasks such as enhancing shadows, highlights and contrast. After buying Joby and Lowepro, Manfrotto’s owner Vitec Photographic has announced its collaboration with Sony. The two companies will work together with the goal to develop a new line of tripods, plates and heads for Sony Alpha cameras, and the expected launch is in 2018. Marco Pezzana, CEO Vitec Group Photographic Division states that they’re proud to announce the agreement with Sony. He sees their brands, Manfrotto and Gitzo, working side by side with the prestigious Sony brand....

It might seem strange to produce a speed booster that converts full-frame lenses to full-frame. But with the Canon EOS R and EOS RP mirrorless cameras, when you’re shooting 4K video, you’re not exactly using the entire full-frame view of the sensor. A content moderator at TikTok recently filed a lawsuit against the company due to the trauma caused by disturbing graphic videos. and it’s not just the content – according to the lawsuit, moderators are exposed to an enormous amount of it, which seriously affects their mental health. The moderator Candie Frazier has proposed a class-action lawsuit against TikTok and its parent, ByteDance Inc. She claims that the videos moderators have to screen involve gruesome and disturbing content including child pornography, rapes, beheadings, and animal mutilation....
