Photojournalist Maya Vidon-White is facing criminal charges over her photo of a man who was killed during the November terror attacks in Paris after the man’s family filed charges against the Paris based photographer. Stating that the publication of the image caused the family emotional damage, press freedom advocates argue that Vidon-White has been wrongfully targeted using an “obscure” French law. Buzzfeed reports that Vidon-White was working as a freelancer for United Press International (UPI) during the November 13th attacks....

This time, though, it seems that Fujifilm EU has accidentally leaked the complete specs for its upcoming X-T100 camera. Grand Teton National Park has reversed its decision to require a permit for any kind of portrait photography within its boundaries. The proposed rules had provoked criticism from both photographers and first amendment lawyers and were axed following a successful campaign by several photography associations. The rules were in direct contradiction to existing laws on what is and isn’t allowed in National Parks in terms of commercial photography and were proposed mainly due to a large increase in weddings and wedding portrait sessions being held within the park....
